Mak graduated with his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from University of Wisconsin –
Whitewater and then went on to receive his Master’s degree in Forensic Psychology
from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. His professional experience includes
facilitating therapeutic groups at a behavioral hospital and providing a wide range of
services including individual, couples, family, and group therapy at an outpatient clinic/private practice. Mak incorporates techniques from CBT/DBT, motivational interviewing, family systems, and strengths-based approach to meet the needs of a diverse population of clients.
Mak’s approach to life and therapy are one in the same. He remains open to new experiences and meets those experiences with humility and compassion. The most inspiring part of his job is collaborating with clients to help them work towards becoming better versions of themselves.
